Family Alzheimer’s In-Home Respite (FAIR), www.wvseniorservices.gov, 1-877-987-3646. FAIR-Family Alzheimer’s In-Home Respite- is a program designed to provide care for individuals with Alzheimer’s or a related dementia and give caregivers a needed break.
Long-term care Ombudsman Program, 1-866-255-4370, Long-term care ombudsmen work as advocates for residents of long-term care facilities.
Lighthouse, 1-877-987-3646, an entirely state-funded program, provides in-home services to individuals who are not eligible for Medicaid services. The Lighthouse Program provides support in four areas: Personal care, mobility, nutrition and environment.
Medicare Assistance: The Medicare Call Center, 1-877-987-4463 and the West Virginia State health Insurance Assistance Program (www.wvship.org) which provides reliable and up-to-date information to Medicare beneficiaries and their families.
